Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to contact you?

Please email me at amber@findingyoucoaching.com

How do I meet with you?

All sessions take place through Zoom, a web-based meeting platform. It is very easy to use from either a laptop or smartphone. As a coach, it is very important that I see my clients when I am coaching. Please come to each session free of distractions, and in a safe place where you can talk freely.

What’s the first step?

The first step is to schedule a free information call. I want to make sure we are a good fit. Schedule your consultation under “Work With Me.”  If there is not a time available that works for you, please email me and we will arrange another time.

What’s the next step?

If you decide you want to continue, I offer a 6-session package and a 12-session package. This will give you the time to really implement the changes you are seeking. Individual results will vary, but the more time you commit to it, the more you’ll get out of our time together.  We will meet for 60 minutes at each session and I recommend they are weekly or every other week.

What if I decide coaching isn’t for me?

If you don’t love working with me, no problem. I will refund any future sessions.

What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?

Life coaching is not therapy and should never be used in the place of therapy. I am not a licensed therapist. Therapy has its place and is important in its own right.  The way I like to describe the difference is that therapy tends to be past focused - what happened in the past and how it is playing a part in your life now.  Life coaching is future-focused. Taking mentally healthy individuals and moving forward to become their best selves.

My coaching is designed to help individuals who are ready to see their life from a new perspective. I will teach tools that will help individuals navigate their everyday challenges with ease.

It can be a little scary to be coached for the first time, I get it - I’ve been there. It’s important to remember that as a coach, I am not there to judge you in any way, nor to have an agenda. I simply want to help you see where you are getting stuck. It is so empowering to experience this and I would recommend life coaching to everyone!

Is there homework?

Sometimes after a session, I will suggest work the client could do. Assignments are always optional but the more you put into the work, the more you get out of it!
