A few years ago, a good friend of mine introduced our group of friends to a charcuterie board.
Some of you might be asking, “what in the world is a charcuterie board?”
A charcuterie board is an assortment of meats, cheeses, artisan breads, olives, fruit, and nuts, all artfully arranged on a serving board. [google it to see pics]
It has since become a tradition amongst my group of friends - we have experimented with many ingredients and have a lot of fun creating our masterpiece.
So imagine this board, full of all beautiful, tasty foods. How do you pick which item you will eat? When there are so many to pick from, which one do you choose first, or consistently?
Just as there are countless charcuterie ingredients available, there are also countless emotions available for us to pick from.
Have you ever stopped and looked at which emotions you pick?
What are they?
Are they more positive or more negative?
Is it usually the same one?
Is it serving you?
I have recently become aware that one of my go-to emotions in the last year has been anger. When I have this whole board of emotions to pick from, I keep choosing anger. Uhg!!
I am so grateful I have come to this awareness, because that is the first (and sometimes hardest) step. And because my awareness is stronger, I can now see that anger is REALLY not serving me, my relationships, or the world. I am ready to make a change!
Deciding to pick a new ingredient {emotion} is not always easy. It takes some practice, some slowing down, some patience, and some serious self-love. But when there are so many options available, why not choose one that serves you, your family, and the world!
Join me on my journey from anger to calm to acceptance to peace to more happiness. I'm just taking one step in the direction I want to go, not jumping from where I am to where I want to go - that is too big.
If you want to learn more about the process I am going to use, schedule a free call with me [click below]. It is not hard, and I am so excited to work on this and try out some new emotions.
